What to Bring

It is always a struggle to make sure one has everything they need when preparing for an outing in the great outdoors. We are here to help! Here is a list of things we recommend bringing with you on your trip.

  • Umbrella- We are open rain or shine unless severe inclement weather is forecasted. However, our facility is entirely outdoors. We do allow guests to return on the same day before 4pm on rain days. It is highly recommended that guests check the weather before heading  over. If you choose to come on out for a stroll in the rain, an umbrella is definitely recommended.
  • Bug Spray- Welcome to southern North Carolina where mosquitos are a staple in our environment, especially during the summer. Just remember, "Bug spray keeps the mosquitos at bay."
  • Drinks- As we are a small facility with limited staff, we do not have the means to run a concessions stand. Therefore, on extremely hot days, it is recommended to bring water in case of thirst. While the park has plenty of shade, it still can get quite toasty in the summer time.
  • Food- We do not have concession stands, however we do have picnic tables in case any families would like to enjoy lunch together.
  • Sun Tan Lotion- Though the park is mostly shaded, if you are more of a fair skinned individual, sun tan lotion will come in handy.
  • Strollers- We know some kids can get heavy if you are carrying them throughout the entire park. Therefore, we recommend if you have a stroller to bring it along. Our paths are outdoor stroller friendly.
  • Camera- You are going to want to take some pictures for memories of course!
  • No pets or emotional support animals are allowed. However, we do welcome Trained Service Animals.
